I was about to register IrLink when it stopped working on my Visor Deluxe. Jay at Iscomplete has been working with me to try to solve the problem. (An "A" for effort and courtesy.) But since the problem isn't yet solved, I thought, perhaps, another visorcentral member might recognize the problem and have a solution.
Hotsync no longer works. On trying Device Discovery, my laptop (a Dell Latitude CPt) momentarily recognizes the Visor (but not by name); the Visor cannot find an IrDA compliant device.
At Jay's suggestion, I have tried the following, all without success:
1. Delete IrLink and SerIrComm from Visor; soft reset; delete IrLink and SerIrComm from PC. Reinstall all.
2. Hard Reset; hotsync to install only IrLink, LicenseMgr, and SerIrComm.
3. Delete from and reinstall to PC infrared ports and controller.
At home, tonight, I'll try beaming to and from my wife's Visor to see whether that functionality works.
Any other ideas?
