Error when trying to erase software

I get a strange error when I try to access my memory from the menu. If I try to get info, delete a file, or look at the files with PiMover, I get the following message

memorymgrnew.c,
line:4128, invalid handle

This all started happening when I installed Fireviewer 6. Any thoughts? I can still use the VDLX, and fireviewer works, and I can still hotsync. But doing any of the afore mentioned memory functions causes the error and I have to pull out the ol' reset pin.

Thanks

Try doing a warm reset (hold the Up button while pressing reset). Then see if Info or Delete work. If they do, I would remove Fire Viewer, soft reset, and try Info and Delete again. If the warm reset doesn't help, get a copy of Filez and try deleting Fire Viewer. You may also want to try the deleting Unsaved_Prefs file.

Mark - you should write a FAQ - I think you've seen almost every problem!

Warm reboot unsuccessful, Filez crashed as well.

Now I am getting worried

Well, I didn't want to come out and say it - I'm working on my own growing list of 'Fatal's' as well

Understandably so...

I guess you're only alternative is a hard reset (unless you want to live with the errors ). Before you do, make sure everything is backed up... if you use BackupBuddy, you should be all set. If not, read this thread as it discusses using a freeware app called BackUpAll.

Once you're sure you've got everything backed up, goto your backup directory on the desktop and delete Fire Viewer and Unsaved_Prefs before re-syncing everything back to your Visor.
