This may be a little late to be of any help but the folks who do a lot of the shareware registration, http://www.kagi.com, offer a good entry-level e-commerce solution if you have the HTML coding background to set it up properly. I just got a site up for a local non-profit organization and so far, so good.
Some Advantages:
- can handle sales to non-US countries
- no upfront fees, only pay a percentage
- no need for a merchant account - the credit card payment is made to Kagi and they pay you once a month by check
Some Disadvantages:
- takes a little doing to get your store looking decent, their model is more geared to a short list of software products
- purchaser will see Kagi on their credit card statement, not your company name
- fees are on a sliding scale and are pretty steep for cheaper items
[Not affiliated with Kagi, just a suggestion...]
