if your visor is going to be your main copmuter for the next cupple of months, I'd get a backup module too, dont want to get 2 weeks in and have to hard reset and lose everything inclunding the keybord driver and all of your data.

Talking This is a standard flaw

The Stowaway driver (all versions from my experience) do not let you just "tab over". The tab key actually is a next field button. To make it act like a tab key, hold down the Fn key with it and it will. This is a definite annoyance, one I would have hoped they would have addressed in newer versions of the driver.

I love my Stowaway, but I'm worried it's falling apart. It no longer lies quite flat. The middle fold (just to the right of the docking port, if that's the right label for it) no longer lies flush with the surface it's on. When I'm typing, the Visor moves a bit, and I'm not a very vigorous typist. It's mostly just annoying.

Does anyone else have this problem?

VTL:

Just out of curiosity, how long have you had your stowaway
and how often do you use it?

Kalaban:

I've had it quite a while - since April. I think I got one of the first ones that shipped.

I really haven't used it very much - maybe a dozen or so times, which isn't much over five months. I didn't have a modem for my Visor until a week ago, and I synch every day, so my computer was as convenient for getting large amounts of text into the computer as anything else.

I just purchased the Xircom Springport modem a week ago, so I'm using it more now. That's probably why this little problem is annoying me so much.

Speaking of the Targus keyboard and modems, I am little confused on the compatibility of the Targus and the Thincom modem from Card Access. I have seen some posts that suggest you cannot use the Targus and the Thincom simultaneously. Is this true? (I know you can use the Targus keyboard and the *Handspring* modem simultaneously, but I am wondering about the *Thincom* modem.)

I was all set to buy a Targus keyboard until I started seeing posts that hinted at this, and so before I drop $100 on the keyboard I'd like to know for sure.

Thumbs up Keyboards and Modems

Not sure if the Stowaway is compatable with the modems or not. I don't have a modem (yet) for my visor but I do have the Stowaway. The keyboard is WELL worth the $100 whether or not it is compatable with a modem. I would like to think that they are or that they will be with future releases of the Keyboard driver. Either way the investment in the stowaway is a good one.

No complaints noble leader.
