Well, Finally the discussion Forums ARE loading faster; I check them daily, and was really getting turned off by the slow loading speed.

Was the server replaced? It's much faster the last couple of days. Actually, it's very acceptable now where before, I found the forums nearly unusable (in my opinion).

We moved the discussion board to its new server this afternoon. What a difference (on our side at least). The SQL engine now consumes 1-5% of the processor, versus over 30% on the old box.

And more upgrades are on the way. The new VC Webserver is ready to go, we just have to move over the templates and modify some code. We are also going to move all the VC articles/reviews etc to the new DB server shortly.

The speed increase you noticed earlier this week was due to optimization of the the table structure and the additional we added RAM to the old server.

Let me know if the forums seem any more (or less) responsive.
