An interesting twist
Alright - so I had nothing better to do this afternoon. I called Customer Care again, informed them that I heard my Visor had been shipped on Thursday, and that I would like my tracking number. Well, they gave me my tracking number -- only when I went to the Fedex website to find out where it was it didn't register anything! Although it was a valid Fedex tracking number, there was no posted information. Being a bit concerned, I called Fedex and asked them what was the deal. They told me that if the package had in fact been picked up yesterday, then there should have been some information associated with the tracking number. So I called Handspring again, mentioned this discrepancy and politely asked if we could work together to figure out what was going on -- especially since even now my bank account does not record the Visor Edge purchase. The nice Customer Care woman then suggested that I call again late Monday if I did not receive my Edge by Monday.
Now that I've calmed down a little, I realize I might be expecting a lot. I mean, there's a lot of possible explanations for why neither my online bank statement and the Fedex tracking code do not corroborate what Handspring is telling me. After all, Handspring doesn't charge your credit card until they ship it, and it usually takes 24-36 hours for transactions to appear on my online statement. What's more, the Fedex number may not have information yet because they haven't updated there database yet either -- maybe it takes 24-36 hours for information to show up on their website, too.
One thing I know for sure, though. I'll never order anything online the week before or during the week of a national holiday again.
