Angry

Why are the only good wireless solutions available today only available for the platinum and the Prism? I want wireless IP, but don't think I should have to spend almost $800 to do so when the Visor was marketed as "infinitetly expandable". I guess that doesn't include wireless expandability other than paging. I love my VDx, but want wireless! Please Advise!

I have a Prism, so I can't speak from experience of a visor Deluxe, however, Yada Yada is "supposed" to work with the Visor Deluxe, their package even has a Blue Visor Deluxe on the front..

I have Yada Yada service, when I can connect to a cell tower it works great, but it's only 19.2k at best, these are not faults or deficiencies on Yada Yada's part, the Minstrel S springboard comes with a "stub" antenna which is good if you are "near" a cell tower and the current speed limits of cellular modems is 19.2k (again not a fault on Yada Yada).. I had to make my own (super) antenna for use at home..

Also, you will want to make sure you have an RF optimized VDX...

You could also get a cable for your cell phone and connect to a 3rd party ISP over your cellphone.. (provided it can, and you may or may not need to also add a "data" service to your cell phone subscription) the reception might be a bit better than the minstrel with the stub.
