Hi all,

Lately I see a lot of postings that make no sense....It probably a frustrated teen with more time than sense...
examples:
http://discussion.visorcentral.com/...TML/000895.html
http://discussion.visorcentral.com/...TML/001444.html
http://discussion.visorcentral.com/...TML/001429.html

Of course I'm talking about JAS and Mr. Visor...

Can we do anything about these jokers? (exept ignoring them so they won't have the fun they expected...)

The troubling part is that some serious reading think these clowns are legit.... maybe they write in a way that is easy to believe...

I closed the topics and the users have been removed. From the TOS agreement:

James, how about deleting the threads too. I pulled one up and it took some time better spent to realize it was bogus.

TIA!

I removed the two bogus topics, but left the legitimate one that got silly. I generally close a topic and delete it later in the day to allow the poster(s) to see that it has been closed.

Keeps those "WHY DID YOU DELETE MY POST" topics and emails from happening

Thanks James,
I want to thank you and the rest of the Visor Central Staff. You all have been very responsive to questions and situations. Although I've used the web for business for awhile, this is my first discussion group. You all have been very good at explaining the ins and outs and I've been able to get a good grip on the social conventions of this type of forum. It is often hard to discern (as a newcomer) what is legitimate, and what is horse puckey.
Thanks again,
Michael Walters

Thumbs down

Sheesh, seriously now, can't you guys take a joke? :/

I can take a joke, and to be honest I was LMAO when I read some of the replies people made to the postings.

But it can be very confusing to new readers and offensive to a lot of people.

I am more open minded than the average people (hey I live in Amsterdam...) but some of these items were just a bit too silly...

I have seen other forums where people were spoiling the forum by posting all kinds off rubish. I would hate to see VC turning that way too..

Maybe VC should add a new catagory for 'silly stuff' but I guess 'off topic' is supposed to be the place for that.

Toolkit is right. I read those posts and smiled (more so from the comments after the original posting), but someone new to the forum may not understand that it is a joke. There were no smilies, and the "information" was presented as being true. I think the term for doing this is trolling.
