My friends have small nokia phones and can use at&t. I was wondering if visorphone or sprint phone of upcoming treo can use at&t?

Nope. Although, AT&T has expressed that they are interesting in switching their network over to GSM/GPRS. Once that switch has occurred in your area, you can use any/all of the above.

AT&T currently has their GPRS network up in Seattle and Las Vegas so you can use the original visorphone in those markets.

AT&T offers GSM/GPRS services in Seattle, Portland, Las Vegas, Phoenix and appears to offer in part of Michigan and Florida, see url http://www.attws.com/mobileinternet/

However, with my experience in Portland I'm able to use the VP to make voice calls but not data calls. I believe it's because AT&T offers data services through GPRS, which the VP does not support.
