Question Earthlink compatability

Which module would be used to access earthlimk. I want to use my delux and my PC on the same account:confused

Xircom's 56K modem works fine, as well as Thinmodem's. The Thinmodem tends to be a nicer fit with the Visor.

All you need to do is plug in the modem, go to "System/prefs/network" on your Visor, and set up your username, password & the earthlink phone number. It really is fairly straightforward.

I have been using the handspring modem to dial up earthlink without any trouble. The only problem I first had was not typing in "ELN/" before my username (my fault). Good luck.

I use a Nokia 8290 GSM cellphone with built-in modem and IR.

If you meant connect wiresless using your Visor and a cell phone. Check out www.gomadic.com to get a cable to get connected wirelessly. Otherwise, you could purchase a Minstrel S modem to use with either OmniSky or YadaYada (I have 1 for sale BTW).

Earthlink doesn't really care what you use to get access to their service if you have a POP (palin-old-phone type) or a cable/DSL connection (from anyone) account. Visors with modems/visorphone, cell phones with built-in modems, PCs and models/cable/, and other devices just dial in to the right number and then it comes down to the configuration you put in to validate you and the timeouts taht are set. If I can't connect it usually comes down to a screwup in my configuration.
