Is there a way to stop the email notify when a new item is posted? Sometimes it gets annoying to keep receiving the emails when I'm already done with the thread.

Try this...

Click on the profile button above and login. Go to the bottom and change your email notification option.

I just want to stop that one thread's notification, not the whole notification process.

Click on the directly above your posting in that thread, uncheck "e-Mail notification," and submit your changes.
