How do I turn OFF "Update Notification" once it has been turned on?

Posted by marcus on 02-14-2001 02:12 PM:

Every e-mail the system sends has an "Off" link (click on it and it takes you off). You can also unsunscribe from your subscribed threads under your profile.

Question Message Deleting

In the Forum Rules for this and other Forums it states:

quote:
Changes: Messages can be edited by their author. Messages can be deleted by their author.
However every time I have tried to delete a message, it gives me a page saying that I cannot.

It tells you which forum you are in, as example, right now it says "VisorCentral.com"

This appears to be an Netscape thing. On my Linux install, Netscape didn't show the current forum. On Win2K, IE shows it.

I love the spell check.. I used to cut n' paste between Outlook (created a dummy email) for spell checking..

You folks really don't want to see what my real spelling ability looks like... (like some kind of middle eastern language! - looks like some kind of satanic cryptic messages, scares the heck out of me sometimes..) Sad thing is I used to be one of those spelling wiz kids in school .. that was before I got bit by the computer bug (learned all those programming languages) and picked up a second (spoken) language.. between the two it shot my ability to spell in English down the tubes.. It was a good trade off though..

Marcus,

Again the new board is GREAT!!!! I have only one request if it is possible: can you put the date when a thread is originated next to the originators name (or someplace)? I use the built-in search to get all new msgs/threads since I last logged in. It would be nice to see the originating date beside the persons name to help me to know whether or not this is a brand new thread or an old one that I've forgotten that someone just posted to. If you can (will) implement this that would be just too cool, but if not, I'll understand.

Thanks,

Craig

I don't mean to start bugging you guys, but the search for users is STILL not working??! Since the search for topics is working its hard to understand why it is so difficult to get the user search back to work...

Question Bookmarking New Posts Search

I believe this problem has popped up for me since the upgrade:
I used to have a bookmark in my browser (Netscape 4.5) that took me straight to new posts. Now my bookmark is wrong, in that I get alot of old posts that I've read along with the new ones.
I'm all but certain the problem's with me (I'm not that knowledgable).
Any help appreciated.
