Is there are any wireless internet service provider available near Toronto, Canada?

Clearnet

Get a cable for your cell phone and use Clearnet's data services. That is my wireless solution right now.

Clearnet

Could you please give me more details? Telus web site is not clear.

Wich telephone you use? Where you get cable for Visor? What services you use and how much they cost you?

Thank you.

Well I am using the Samsung 8500 phone with a direct connect cable from thesupplynet (www.thesupplynet.com). I have a package with clearnet that gives me 250 minutes per month (talk time). This talk time can also be used for data (ie connect Visor to Phone to Net) with their $5 Data Service aka PCS online or something like that. You can learn more about it here: http://temp.telusmobility.com/on/ww...pcsonline.shtml

Note that they mention something about a Wireless Modem kit for $69.99. You DO NOT need this package unless you have a laptop. All you need is the cable from Thesupplynet.com., a telus mobility phone with service and the $5 data services add-on.

Very helpfull information. It gives me point. Thank you.

Could you also tell me what internet services available through Clearnet network? May I use web, ftp, nntp (usenet news), icq, telnet, ssh (secure telnet) over there?

Arrow Everything

You can do everything you do now with your regular ISP. BUT keep in mind that the connections i very slow (14 kbps). I was able to surf and use ICQ. You can get other Palm OS applications to do the things you want to do.
