Been having numerous errors today. For example, got this when trying to pull up thread I got subscription msg about:

I think we have tracked it down...

It seems to be related to the network buffers settings on the primary web server.

It's all the slashdot effect. simple answer, simple soloution. Wait until VC get's off /.'s homepage

Actually our servers are running at less then 10% capacity... but fixing that TCP/IP bottleneck sure helped witht he communications between the webserver and the database.
