-- What kind of alerts for YadaYada email? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=10645)
I'm just about ready to pull the trigger on a YadaYada/Minstrel purchase. One thing I really need to have is audio alert when an email can come in. Can someone confirm the following for me?
I have a Visor Deluxe. I will order YadaYada with the 12 month comitment to get the free Minstrel. I will call Handspring to order an Optimized Deluxe. All this will come in and I'll put it together. I live in a metropolitan area (Raleigh/Durham) so I assume I'll have good coverage. Now will the following be true:
a) I will receive emails from my corporate Exchange server (which is POP-able) in real-time. I imagine the email client is configurable to poll for POP mail on a schedule?
b) I can configure the email client to beep, twiddle, chirp, or otherwise audibly alert me that I have an email waiting. I know there's a red light on the Minstrel but it does me little good if I have the Visor in my pocket (which I imagine I'll have to as my nice E&B slipper case will now be useless.)
Help appreciated. TIA.
