Visorphone not charging
Daringly, I purchased a Prism Charger /Hotsync Cable on EBay, to charge my Visorphone I have installed on my Visor Delux. Gladly, it charges my phone. Sadly, I did not realize it charges through the USB connection of a computer. So when I travel, I now have to find a computer to charge through.
Up til now I have accomplished this. But I am now staying with family for a month, and my dad's not-cutting-edge computer (using Win98 os) is not charging my phone. I've jiggled the USB connection, and the connection at the Visor end of the cable. The computer gives no messages whatsoever, evil or kind. (I am not using the cable for Hotsyncing, just for charging.) Is this an OS problem, an old/new USB problem, something not being connected properly in the guts of the computer, or something else?
Til this is solved, it seems I'll be charging at the library every two or three days...
Could you use one of those universal PDA chargers that plug into a cigarette lighter in a car and has a USB (power only) output connector? I got this one from a local MicroCenter store:

You don't need all the extras since you already have the charging cable, but something like this might help if you can find it locally.
