Question Visor, Verizon, and Kyocera/Motorola

We have a Visor Prism and a Visor Deluxe and cell phone service through Verizon. We are going to upgrade our Verizon service to a national plan and must thus get a CDMA phone.

We would like to be able to then connect our Visors to the internet using the cellphone. From what I see you only need a cable and some email or web browsing software to to this.

Has anybody had any experince using a Kyocera or Motorola phone to access the internet on a Visor through Verizon? Which phone is better and should we even take this approach through Verizon. Any suggestions on what cable to us and where to buy them (I see supplynet and cable4pda mentioned in other posts) or is the Mobile Office Kit from Verizon the way to go. (The sales people at the Verizon store were not sure if it would work with a Handspring). In addition is there anything we need to take in account with the 3.1 operating system on the Deluxe. I seem to remember reading somewhere there was.

Any answers to these questions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Gomadic Cables

Gomadic has cables too which work with most major phones (ie. Motorola, Samsung, Kyocera, Touchpoint, LG, Sanyo, etc.) You may want to check them out at http://www.gomadic.com. They're priced considerably cheaper than the competition.

I use my Prism, a Gomadic cable, and my Motorola Startac (7868, I think) to access the internet over Verizon's network. Works like a charm, at least as fast or faster than the YadaYada/Minstrel S combo I used to use for wireless access.

I can't comment on the Kyocera phone, haven't used it.

VTL and cayeldo thank you for your replies. I checked out Gomadic and it looks like what we need (they are cheaper too).
