-- Why is HTML code off? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=14922)
There have been a couple of times I would like to have added style with HTML, but was unable to. Just now in the "Who did you vote for?" thread I tried to make CO2 look correct by typing CO2, which I had to edit out when I noticed that everything appeared in the thread (as it did here). Is there a reason "HTML code is OFF"?

because with html code enabled, anyone has the ability to completely reformat the page, and that can get ugly. with a bb, it's safer to use the code with the forum, and not enable html.

True, but what's the point of completely reformatting the page? Just to prove you can do it? Big deal! The responses are already within a table, so any style formatting would only affect the information in that table, right? Besides, I can't imagine someone caring enough to reformat an entire page.
May I suggest turning it on for a day or two to test the waters?

HTML is turned off to keep people from using Javascript or other special code in their postings.
