Nokia 8210 and Visor Solo

Hi i have a problem: my visor can't seem to do any IR-ing.

i've tried to use FUNSMS and GSM TOOLS, both can't connect to my phone

i've tried to beam an address from my visor to the phone..and alhtouhg it seems there is some response when i put the phone nearby (ie hte dialog box kinda changes words) after a while it just says "beam interrupted, ensure the handhelds are aligned ) or something lidat.

howeve ri just tried sending an address from the phone to the visor and viola it works!

anyway i thot it might be a hardware fault...howeve ri tried omniremote and it works fine! i can send ir signals to my TV and vCR and stuffs like that.

so it can't be the emitter/receiver fault cos i can work them!

so wats the problem? ANyone knows/


ps i installed taht Sercommlib thingy as well. just that single file in the package like instructed by handspring

Guess wat ..i just sent a business card from the visor to the 8210...looks like it must be in the form of just a name and a single telephone number then it works

however funsms still eludes me...maybe i dont know how to use the program?

i configured to teh best of my knwoledge and got a local palm repair shop to help as well and we can't get it to work.

basically i just clickon "retrieve msgs" and wait and it always says the model is not ready
