-- Browser Icon (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=4448)
Dear Sirs,
Can VisorCentral create a special icon that will appear in everyone browser [Address window] area?
For example: www.quartus.net
- has an icon that appears in IE Address window area.
Regards - Byron
Dear Sirs,
Can VisorCentral provide for download a window / MAC version icon of their web site logo?
Then who ever is interested can use that icon instead of the default html file icon that shows up in IE 5.0.
Byron
Can you tell me where you see this? I went to quartus.net and saw no change in IE.

Eureka! I see what you are talking about now. Do you know how to add that feature to the page in IE? I didn't see anything in the source for it.

Ok, it should be working now. Try adding the main page to your favorites now.
Let me know if it is different on a Mac.

How does it work?
Hi All,
To introduce VC cool icon in the Address window and the Favorites window within IE; this is what I did:
Click on the top menu [Favorites] -
then choose [Organize Favorites] -
scroll down the list until you reach your Visor Central bookmark. From there the icon should be introduce to your system.
Thanks goes out to the VC Staff for providing this cool icon. Keep up the good work guys.
Regards - Byron Collins
Okay, now I'm curious. And a little peeved. I can't figure out where you get the information on HOW to add the icon resource. I've been wasting my time looking through the MSDN.

Just where did you guys get the information on how to do it??

Marcus told me that all you need to do is make a 32x32 .ico file and put it in the root of your website.

You need to name the icon:
favicon.ico
Marcus
Thanks, Marcus. I had finally found it after digging around in my Temporary Internet Files folder. You'd think MS would be promoting that because it's really kinda neat.
Wow. Another amazing thing learned at VisorCentral.com
You guys should subtitle your site:
VC - It's more than just another Palm.
Hi All,
Is the VC icon still available at their root
directory? I just upgraded to IE 5.5 and it doesn't appear.
Byron
Hi VisorCentral staff,
Is the VC icon still there for IE 5.0 Users?
I can't seem to get it no more?
Byron
I was getting this icon up until a few days ago. Is it still there and working? Or is it my PC?
Thanks,

Downloadable VC Icons?
Hi,
Can VC provide their IE icon(s) as a download file?
I can't view it in IE 5.0 no more.
I know how to assign a icon locally to a web
address in IE.
