There is a selection of 8 or so built-in rings. They are fairly simple and they are all that you can choose from. However, they are certainly loud enough -- and I've never been in a crowd and wondered, "Hey is that my visor phone ringing?"

No kidding? My ring is not very loud at all. Is there something I'm missing? I have it set to the (annoying) "Entertainer" song, because I think I can hear it a little better, but I still miss calls because it's pretty quiet.

Are you sure you have the volume set to Loud, instead of Soft? I have noticed sometimes before that my preferences got automatically set back to soft somehow.

I guess the only times I have difficulty hearing the ring would be:

  1. Driving in the car with the stereo up really loud
  2. If I'm wearing a large winter coat that covers the visor.

Additionally, I do wear the phone on my belt, so it is easy to hear and most the time is not covered. I supposed if you carry it inside a bag or purse it would make it a bit quiter.
