html design problem in articles
Hi folks -- in general I like the new look, except for one very annoying problem that is already grating on me BAD. When I am reading an article, I see that if I click ANYWHERE within the article's text, the entire article serves as a link to its higher-level directory. For example, if I am reading a product review of a specific product, accidentally clicking anywhere on the review (NOT a specific link) causes me to go to the Product Review listing page. This makes copying text for my notes all but impossible. I have to be careful not to click by mistake or it takes me to another page. VERY annoying.
I don't think you are providing any service with this "feature." Could you please turn this off? If I want to go to the higher-level listing page, I can just click on its link up at the top of the article. Thank you!

There most be some problem with the html - it is not supposed to work like that.
Which browser are you using? I tried both IE and NE on Win, and neither behaves that way. Will try on the Mac tomorrow.

Yep...it's a mac problem.
You have some funny html in the head class definition:
<a class="headline" href='/'>
<font face="verdana, arial" size="1" color='#000000'>visorcentral.com</a> >><a class="headline" href='/content/Stories/index.htm'>
<font face="verdana, arial" size="1" color='#000000'>Stories</a> >>
Some double-closing tags...that may be the problem...

Fixed...
I had to close the </font> tag before I closed to the </a> tag for it to work.
Let me know if you come across it anywhere else.
Thanks,

Since you already have a class for those links why don't you just define the font there? (in the CSS)
quote:Thanks much for the fix in the articles. Since you asked, why yes, I did run across it... in your FRONT page. The short synopses for your articles are also links... to the level above it. For example, clicking on the Bluetooth article took me to the index page for the Stories category. Thanks again for the quick response.

^bump^
Sorry. The funky stuff is happening again. Maybe it's been happening all along and I accidentally clicked within an article again, but I experience it with the article at http://visorcentral.com/content/Pro...tsheet-388.htm.
Thank you.
