-- VERY unstable server! (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=4330)
As most of you have noticed, the server VC is hosted from has turned quite unstable.
Today our downtime was over 6 hours - completely unacceptable. We are desperatly working on moving VC of the server and on to our own - however, this probably won't happen until early next week.
So please bear with us as we go through this process.
Also, please change you bookmarks to www.visorcentral.com rather than www.visorcentral.com/visor/default.asp. That way you can access the site outside the asp realm, and we can post info on the current status.
Marcus,
At least it is not as bad as Hand Springs CSR's LOL Just Kidden.
What's the story behind the web server? Just curious to, maybe, pickup a thing or two.
I have had the experience of the ASP service (on IIS 4.0) stopping cold in midstream ... for seemingly no good reason (no log entries other than - ASP stopped) and when you restart the service, it's like nothing happened.
Are you guy staying with the IIS platform?
We are planning on moving to the Apache platform, running on top of FreeBSD. It will be more stable and faster than the current situation.
Yeah, ASP just stops randomly. I am not sure what is going, we have followed all the suggestions available at 15seconds.com and support.microsoft.com (limiting amount of asp cached pages, closing all objects etc)

Hallelujah, VisorCentral has seen the light!!
