Thumbs up

Thanks Marcus for this new feature!!

I added this javascript to my Outlook Today page, and it works great.

I usually have my "Today" page displayed on part of my screen. Now I will get VC news as it breaks.

This site just keeps getting better and better.

I second your thanks .. Marcus has been doing some pretty cool things lately and its really opened up my eyes to the possibilities of what can be done on a site.. Visorcentral in email, visorcentral on my visor, visorcentral on the web, visorcentral on a cellphone and now visorcentral pretty much anywhere .. simply awesome.

Joe

Wink

I recommend that we stop short at "VisorCam", though.

Did you use PHP3 to automatically update the javafeed.php3 page?

Can you give me some hints as to how I can do this on my site?

Thanks!

Ok, maybe I've been working too hard lately, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to do this one myself. Anyone care to help out this poor soul?

In Outlook 2000 you have the ability to create your own "Today" page. I edited (using Frontpage) an existing page that displayed my in-box, calendar, to-do's, and a scrolling news/stock ticker.

To select a page to use:

Right click on Outlook Today and choose Properties
Select the Home Page tab.
Check off "Show Home Page by default for this folder"
Browse and select which page to use.

As far as putting in the code, I pasted the script exactly as Marcus posted it.

The page is generated by php3(like all other VC pages). Take a look at the rendered source of the javafeed page, and you will see that it includes some JavaScript code (document.write).

Use the same technique to create your own page, and then use the javascript statement to include that content.
