-- The WIPclip is coming soon... (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=12579)
I had e-mailed Tellus about the fate of the WIPclip, since we haven't really heard anything in a while. This morning, I got the reply:

You will be pleased to know we will have the unit on the market shortly.
We will not be selling it directly to the public, but via a Wireless ISP.
The unit has passed its FCC Testing and we are currently doing extensive testing to make sure we do not get the quirky label.
The Visor is a fairly hostile environment for a wireless modem, hence, why you are seeing the quirky behavior on the Minstrel S - I have to defend the competition.
We havent considered using third parties to Beta Test this unit, the Wireless ISP will have that joy. There are other products in the pipe, that will need to be tested by third parties, so we may call on your Services when the time comes.

How difference
i don't see how the WIPClip is different from the Minstrel S modem. I have read the specs. Mayeb someone can enlighten me.
I believe people are interested in it just because its an alternative to the Minstrel which has apparently been a buggy modem.
Anyone know what services will use this? The only people in my city with Wireless web is Qwest and none of the Minstrel companies is partnered with them to offer service here
