VisorPhone antana extention?

My reception has been somewhat less than what I would expect. This has caused my to wonder if any third party companies make an extension for the antenna. If not, is it feasible? And would it increase performance, or is it too tightly related to the "Cell" side of Cell Phone?

Would a better antenna help on a digital phone? Is it a case of the 'ones' and 'zeros' losing stregth and getting misinterpreted at the cell site?

The VisorPhone software has a bar chart to indicate signal reception. When I have full reception indicated my Blazer performance is fine. As the signal gets weaker my performance goes down and it loses the connection with my ISP.
So to answer your question. I think an antenna that could pull in the signal better might make a difference.
