Not that it will matter for YadaYada users now, but I sent another email recently to Novatelwireless asking them about an update for the Minstrel S to prevent Fatal Exception errors. Here was the response:

Restructuring can sometimes mean almost out of cash, but I could be wrong.

By the way, I've been getting my strongest signals ever with YadaYada lately.

I dont know about novatel, but I keep reading that
YY is in trouble, yet they just redesigned their
homepage. I cant seem to be able to connect to
YY at all today, even though i get a strong
signal (middle of manhattan), the modem never
seems to be able to register with the network.

I had that same problem. Turns out it was just a bad IP address. After OS changed it for the third time within an hour, it finally worked.
