I am thinking of Selling my Minstrel S/Omnisky in Place of the Visor Phone. Here are the Pro's and Cons as I can see It:

Pros:
Smaller
It's a Phone
Removable Battery
Coolness/Geek Factor
Less Reports of People Having Crashes
Rechargeable While Visor Is sitting in Cradle.
More Exerior Buttons (Kinda Lame But I like real buttons)

Cons:
No Omnisky Software
Extra Cost for Data Connections.

I want to Hear from People that use their VisorPhone for Data and Voice calls.

Is it fast?
How long does the Battery Last?
What do you use More often, Voice or Data Calls?
How is the Reception for Data calls?
How is the Reception for Voice Calls?
How is the Voice Messaging?
Is the ringer In the Phone or does it use the Visor?

Although GSM coverage (with Powertel in my case) is not as wide ranging as ATT's so far it hasn't been that big of a problem. Much easier to make calls

Is it fast?
I think most GSM networks are topping out @ 9600bps so not blazing but adequate for what I do (e-mail, limited browsing, avantgo & vindigo updates)

How long does the Battery Last?
It's rated for 3 hrs talk time, but I haven't really pushed it

What do you use More often, Voice or Data Calls?
Voice mostly but I use data also.

How is the Reception for Data calls?
So far so good

Pretty good

How is the Voice Messaging?
This is provided by the service, but it does what I need it to do

Is the ringer In the Phone or does it use the Visor?
In the phone along with vibration

Anyone With an Edge Using a VisorPhone?
Nope, using it with a Prism.

What I also really like is the 3 way call options, and the fact that I can send SMS messages while talking on the phone. The headset is not crystal clear on the listener's end but I can always hear really well. Going wireless is the ultimate!!!
