View New Posts
Lately when I check to see what is happening on the discussion boards, I will see icons indicating new posts in several forums, but when I click "view new posts" I get told there are no new posts or see only a small number of posts not including some of the boards that should have new posts according to the icons. For instance, just now the prism forum indicated new posts but "view new posts" showed only treo related posts. I hadn't changed any settings. What's up?
Thanks!
I have been running into the same problem for a couple of weeks. I have since changed my password and it seems to help.

Thanks for the idea. Will give it a try.
Besides not seeing all the new posts, I just tried to "see all posts" for myself (looking for a recent one I wanted to follow up on) and there's nothing listed newer than Wednesday 5/15, and some gaps of days where I'm pretty sure I was active (since I generally bop in at least once a day, tho don't always post). Possibly something wrong with the database?

Do files get embarrassed when they get unzipped?
Explanation to what is going on:
http://www.treocentral.com/
TreoCentral will launch very shortly. Once TC is up, the discussion board will be split into TC and VC parts, one for each site.
The "view new posts" feature among other things will also be specific to each site - that is what you see is happening now on VC (wrote the new code this weekend). The query only pulls up new posts in the VC related forums.
Some forums will be shared (Other Areas of Interest and Software) between the boards, as well as the membership system.
If there is a demand for it, I might create a "superboard" on each site where you can see all forums.
Good News for some users: A mobile edition of the board will also launch with TC. Both posting and viewing.

what is ringtone manager forum?
It appears (Ringtone Manager Forum) when I search for new posts, but then I am allowed access. Whatis the big secret.
Also, I vote for a superboard.
I would hate to have to search new posts on visorcentral and treocentral every day. Also, would that throw of the view new posts as far as having the same account.
Lou
That was the beta forum for TC Ringer

what with the changes going on, here's a couple things I've noticed --
1) I changed my password, as suggested above (I was due anyway); after the expected re-entering of login/pass to get the cookies straightened out, I am just as cookied at work (WinNT) as I was before ... but it fails to keep at home (Mac OS 9). I have not changed my local prefs and am using IE in both locations.
2) looks like when you "view new posts" you get posts from VC and TC. Nice. Thanks.
