Modem to connect to AOL?

I have a Xircom modem and wondered if i can use it to connect to my home service which is AOL to get on the internet

Yes. You'll have to download AOL's Palm software from their website. You can only send/edit/receive e-mail and use AOL IM.

You cannot surf the web with AOL on your Palm. Another reason I switched off of them.

Wow you guys are great thanks for the information. So what services out there WOULD let me surf the internet? I really dont care about those wireless using a cell phone things. I just want to surf the internet from home with it.
