Submit a thread to close...?

Is there a way to submit a thread to a VC moderator so that they can close it.

Example: I had a thread in the marketplace that is no longer valid because I sold the device. How can I get a moderator to delete this thread?

PDABuzz uses the same discussion board software (Their's is powered by: vBulletin Version 2.0.0 beta 5) as VisorCentral. They have a link on each post that allows it to be submitted to a moderator. Why can't VC have this also?

I think the mods keep close enough tabs where that isn't really necessary. If you want a thread locked down, just ask within the thread.

As for old marketplace stuff, eventually it will just drop off through inactivity.

If you have a real problem, hit the "send" button on your email!

Contact one of the moderators through e-mail. James, Mark, Toolkit, Hoser.. by vc rules I'm not allowed to psot e-mails, but mark and james have written stuff for VC, so you can find their address from their article...

While emailing would work just fine. I think something like this would be a good thing to have. I'm sure it is a hack, that is why PDABuzz has it and we don't.

This isn't a necessity, but it would be nice to have.

I don't think it's a "hack", more like an option that's available in the software setup. It's probably easy to turn on/off, but it was just a decision on VC's part not to include.

I agree with above, my thread will probably go away with time, but I just thought it would be nice to have.

This feature would also be good to report bogus threads/posts. Unfortunately it could turn into a "tattle-tell" feature (like it did at PDABuzz) where people flame each other. Oh well, either way, VC still rocks!!

Do files get embarrassed when they get unzipped?
