Question Best dialup ISP

I'm dropping my cable modem to save money. Can anyone suggest a good
dialup ISP that I can also use with a ThinmodemPlus?

TIA

I use Prodigy with my HS modem. I have used it in several cities with no problem.

I have a dialup with Sprintdial.net for my desktop. They're available in most states. $10/month with only a $10 or so setup fee. So far I like it and I've recommended it to two others who also like it.

I use it when I travel and also as backup with broadband is off.

PC Magazine, or somebody like that gave good ratings to DotNow.com, which offers free access with banner ads or banner-free service for as little as $8/month. I'm fixing to get my girlfriend online for the first time and will try that. If that doesn't suit you, EarthLink can't be beat.click here to visit DotNow

Well, I have never every had any problem with earthlink. They also seem to have the largest amount of access numbers, and the service is great too.

AT&T Worldnet works great on my visor too. I had a bit of a problem setting it up in linux though, because of some \r characters needed in /etc/ppp/chap-secrets.

Im waiting for my thinmodem right now. I have been using my nokia 8290 to connect to the net before, and it has worked great.

we used to use MindSpring until we just got qwest dsl. their DMS is a little different because they use 3 not 2. also the reason we switched was because they started sticking us with $100 or more for something called "simutaneous hours", maybe it was because i was always on the net at 5 hours at a time. but they never metioned it to use before. we were paying $29.99/month but then the bill said $150 total

so i would not recommed mindspring if your going to be connected for hours at a time.

I use AT&T Worldnet and have had no problems connecting with my VPR via a Startac cell phone and cable. I've used Worldnet at home ever since they started (around 1995-6) and have never had a problem either dialing in or with the service in any way.

I can highly recommend it.

Earthlink is pretty good, with thousands of nation-wide numbers if you travel. Setup with the Thinmodem+ was a snap, and it works great.

I haven't had any problems. I didn't download their software, so I
just use my IE. Works fine on palm. I had a friend that said the
CompuServe browser sucked. Could you be thinking of that?
