VisorPhone power up button failure?

I have seen threads in the past, but I am still plagued by this problem. I have documented twelve failures in three weeks. This occurs after normal Visorphone power downs, after hot syncs etc. Anyone else? I have nothing on the visor but Handspring apps. Its driving me nuts to have to dismantle my phone before use.

Although I do not keep track, I too have experienced numerous failures with my VP power button.

Normally, I can get it to turn on without pulling out the module by simply pressing the Phone app button on the VP, and then going to the speed dial screen. When I try to dial any of the phone numbers, the VP will tell me that "Your cell phone is off. Would you like to turn it on?" When I tap "yes", it turns the phone on.

I should add that after it turns on the phone and performs a network search, it does not try to actually dial the number, therefore it does not matter which preset you tap.

I've experienced "no response" from my Visorphone power button sometimes too. Fortunately it was an easy fix. Just remove it from the Visor, put it back it, and it worked (for me at least).

Hopefully this may help most of us with this problem.

So do folks think it's ok to have to dismantle your phone to turn it on?

I for one do not feel that I should have to. Nor do I believe that I should have to take the phone out, and tap on a screen a few times and then put it back in the case simply to be able to recieve a call. IMHO that is nuts.

Lightbulb If it doesn't work right send it back!

I've got two, no problems like that. If yours isn't working to your satisfaction send it back!

BTW: I've had a couple programs (most notably a Tetris clone) that can totally trash you system. It can also make your VP act funny so be careful you only use good quality apps.
