Welcome to VisorCentral!
Currently the market of Visor owners are rather small (let's say about 0), but the interest in this product seems high.
Because of this I created VisorCentral, which I hope one day will become the ultimate resource for Visor owners.
That is, if Visor really is the name of these new handhelds.

Hey Marcus!
Excellent and speedy work you've put in here, though I had to go through quite a few domain<>IP hoops, since visorcentral.com is not yet ready for prime time, according to a quick whois. Don't you love how slow Network Solutions is since they're no longer the .COM gods?
But I digress. Good to see someone take off so fast on this. I wish you the best, as well as all the traffic you can handle. Now to hope the Visor is what they keep claiming it will be.
It's good to be the first poster!
Hello all (two, actually)!
It's good to be the second poster, too!
Keep the good work, Marcus! Good idea!
And you, Zippy, at pdabuzz.com (even if it's acquired)
See you Tuesday with good news from HandSpring!

This is the fastest I've ever seen a site come together. Good job!
danlaba,
And what do you mean "even if it's acquired"?!?! That's a good thing, I swear!!

Thanks for your positive comments about the site.
Yeah, it was pretty cool to throw the whole site together in a day.
I bought the domain in the morning, drafted the design of the site during Calculus, and got it together when I got back home..
Let me know when the domain www.visorcentral.com seems to work throughout the net.
Marcus
So you're getting A's in calculus, eh? Sounds like the US school system is keeping up appearances.
The domain seems to have taken where I'm coming from.
Hey DaBuzz, where is that raise you keep promising me? Yeah, yeah, you'll double my salary...
Marcus, when I posted my first message the domain visorcentral was working already. I am in UK.
DaBuzz, I'm glad pdabuzz was acquired, it's a good site. You should keep the same good information in the future for all PDAs.
Best wishes.

Hey, your site looks good-
Got it together way fast, too!
I'l be watching here FIRST for info on my next PDA.
BTW, have you gotten any feedback on how the site looks/works on a Palm? (I'm gonna check it out the next time im online w/Proxyweb)
Hi everyone,
This Visor product is going to be a huge seller! I plan to order the 8mb version next Tuesday. I have been waiting for a Palm version with more RAM and have finally found it at a low price. I wonder what will happen to TRG RAM upgrades? Who would go that route when they can get an 8mb stock version for $249. Yahoo has more information located at: http://dailynews.yahoo.com/h/nm/199...ndspring_1.html
This seems like the start of a revolution. I have put off my purchase of a Palm device until the news breaks about Visor. Good job in getting the VisorCentral site up and running. It appears that this site will be the "grand" Visor site once this product comes to view.
2 days to go. Can't wait.
Hi, everyone!
When I'm looking for information on "Visor" in the chaos, I come across here.
May I swim around here?
I am just one of PalmPilotPro users, and interested in the future of PAD.
At this moment, VISOR is in secret and I have no friends who use VISOR.
Hummmm.... I can't wait the moment VISOR is unvailed.
Hello all. Seems to be an excellent site
Can't wait until tommorrow. Anxious to see what all the hoopla is about. Love to get a PDA (Palm OS only) with 8 meg at resonable price
DaBirk
I was getting ready to move up to the IIIx, but will eagerly await Visor. Big xmas item, I suppose.
People will still buy the TRG upgrade for their Palm V's ... Visor is described as having a Palm III form factor, so the sleek V still has something going for it. Although, they probably won't be willing to pay as much for the upgrade as a Visor Deluxe ...
Anyone know where "online" these things will be available??
abrennan,
Word is Handspring will be selling the Visor only off their Web site until next year, when they'll open up a retail/reseller channel. They obviously want to speed up distribution by selling it themselves. Just hope they're prepared for the possible onslaught of buyers.
I agree with your about the TRG upgrade, but the Visor will certainly make many think twice before the purchase.
Cool site! and fast work!
...aside from my own plans to "upgrade",
I'm plotting to convert some more friends /
family when (I imagine) a lot of the older
used PalmPilots appear on the market...
VisorCentral is listed under Related Links on CNN.com in several of their stories regarding the Visor.
Quite an accomplishment for site only six days old...
Marcus
Yeah, but then it says "External sites are not endorsed by CNN Interactive". So there!
Naw, actually I'm quite impressed. Congrats, Marcus. You're the administrator of a up and coming hit Web site.
Great site, Marcus!!!
I too am looking forward to getting my hands on a Visor. I plan to order next month once I can do it online (and also have more time to look over online articles.)
I love the springboard feature! I look forward to the GPS and MP3 modules.
Anyway, great work and I'll see ya around!
Terrific site - I'm from a town just west of Toronto in Ontario, Canada - I belong to a 1 year old local Pilot Users Group for social and information exchange (www.Canadapug.com - I wonder if we're going to have to change it to a Visor User Group???). Anyway, I think this Visor is a winner and it's great to see such a quick reponse - great location to get lots of info, questions asked and answered and just generally find others with similar interests. I've already ordered 2 VD's (blue, graphite for self & hubby) - look forward to checking in at this site for further updates! All the best. Terrific site - keep it up!
