I have a Visor Edge and a Nokia 8290 via Cingular Wireless. I'm trying to access the web via the combination of these two, and I"m told I need IRLink and IREnhance. However, IRLink says they are not compatible with OS 3.3+. Is there any other program I can use until IRLink 1.6 comes out? Or is it just possible to connect my 8290 to my Visor Edge via a data cable?

One more question - Cingular said I do not need a separate ISP to use the data connect service, but everybody here says that I do. What is the real story?

OS 3.3+ has this built in. Go to pregs > Connection & setup a new connection called IRCOMM to Modem then set the correct settings.
