Visorphone, VoiceStream, and Quick Chat

Is there anyone using Quick Chat with the Visorphone on the VoiceStream network successfully? Mine sends me the logon message via SMS, but the icon never changes to online. When I try to send a message, it asks me to login again. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

In case I wasn't entirely clear, Quick Chat 2.2 is the program that supposedly allows you to access AIM through SMS on VoiceStream...so anybody having success?

Qucik Chat

The solution is to reset your Visor after installation - worked for me.

Where do you get Quick Chat 2.2? It did not come with my Visorphone, which I ordered with the T-Mobile service plan.

Also, do those on-line AIM messages count as individual SMS message or as minutes on your T-mobile bill?

Do you have to use your own ISP or can you use the T-mobile ISDN phone number for Quick Chat? I have been unable to make Blazer work on the T-mobile ISDN line. Even though I get a message that an internet connection was made, I usually get a error message from Blazer.

Quick Chat 2.2

Quick Chat 2.2 uses SMS - yes each IM message counts against your SMS message 'budget' - but no ISP connection is needed. I think this is much better than an ISP connection 'cause you can "leave it on" all the time; though you have to remember to log in and log out when you turn on and turn off you visorphone.

Get it here:
http://www.palmgear.com/software/sh...fm?prodID=28935
Costs $12.50 to register.

It works quite well for me.

Re: connecting to an ISP for Blazer, see this thread:

I can get Blazer to work 100% with my ISP and 80-90% w/o an ISP using the Voicestream # in the thread.
