Xircom wireless ethernet - UK vs. US version

In a quite staggering example of how we in the UK are being ripped off, the Xircom wireless modules costs $99 in the US but in the UK costs 260 ($433)!!!

So my question is: if I buy the US version - will it work with my UK WAP? I heard that diffent countries use different channels for wi-fi? Anyone successfully used US sourced wi-fi equpment in the UK?

Thanks for you help.

Andy.

I would assume that the only difference would be the number of channels in use. As I understand it, there are a few less channels used in North America than in other parts of the world. I think Japan gets even more. If you're going to use the SWE1130-NA (note the part number has NA for North America) with your own Wireless access point then you would have to choose a channel that is used on the SWE1130-NA and NOT one that is ONLY used in the UK. If you plan on using the Xircom on various access points then you better check to see which channels they use and if they are ones used only in the UK or you'll be disapointed when you try to use your imported SWE1130-NA.
