QNC SMTP email beta testers wanted

We are looking for about 12-15 beta testers for a new service we are looking to offer. If you use your Visor to access your email via cellphone using QNC (Quick Network Connect) and would like to send email thru your QNC connection AND you use an email client that supports logging into the SMTP server(Eudora has this capability), then we want you. If any of this does not make sense, DON'T ask to take part, support for setting up varied clients will be minimal.

If this does make sense, send an email to beta with
a) your full name
b) email address
c) style of Visor
d) which email client you use
e) cellphone provider.

We will respond within a few days with a beta user name, beta password and beta SMTP server name to use, plus further details. This will only be for sending mail, NO incoming mail(POP3) will be provided.

P.S. Spamming will not be tolerated and message sizes will be limited to 1 meg(but who would send out a meg at 14.4 kbps?)

So you're basically providing a workaround to the standard limitation of SprintPCS/Verizion data?

Yes, it will be an email server that will allow you to send email. Verizon and SprintPCS allow you to read your email but not reply when using QNC. By setting up the email client with an SMTP server that allows you to logon, you will be able to send without re-connecting via your regular ISP to do the send.
