Before the upgrade, each time I visited VC I would see a lit bulb next to forums that had been posted to since my last visit. Inside those forums, a blue down-arrow indicated to me that new posts had been made to a thread, and clicking on the blue arrow took me to the first new post since my last visit. Since the upgrade, however, all forums have lit bulbs all the time, and all threads have blue arrows all the time. It seems to make no difference whether I am logged in or not.
Am I missing something here? Thanks in advance for any help.

BTW, I'm using IE 5.50.

the light bulbs work fine for me - some are lit, some arent (Ie 5.51). BUT the arrows take you to the last post made for a given thread - don't matter if I've read that post before or not. I don't know if it was different before the upgrade, but it seems the same as in your case now. When you hover over the blue arrows, it even tells you "Go to last post", so that seems to be a feature, not a bug....

Thanks for your reply. The blue arrow I am refering to is the one next to the thread title (the hint says "go to first new post") These used to appear only when there had been a post to the thread since my last visit - now they are there all the time. (?)

I am logging in (and I see my user name in the list at the bottom of the screen) but, interestingly, when I go to post a reply, it always asks me to login first.
