-- Use computer as a dial-up server for internet? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=11860)
I believe I saw someone had it posted here, or on another site, that they had set up a dial-up server using a Linux box and used this to give internet for their phone.
Since I really do not wish to pay for another account, pay to log-in simultaneously, or fool around with tricking free internet services; this seems like a good idea.
What I would like to know is how you go about doing this?
My Setup:I currently have 2 PCs on a home network, both of which run Win2k. My main machine shares its dial-up access to the other through Win2k's built in internet sharing. I have 2 lines in the home, 1 that is dedicated to the internet and one that is a general voice/TiVo line. The machine that is hooked up to the internet also has a spare WinModem which is hooked up to the voice line. The main machine will automatically redial the ISP if its disconencted so its pretty much always on.
Is there a way I can setup my computer to accept calls on the WinModem from the cell phone and share the internet over this link to my PDA hooked up through the cell phone?
