A New Visor Phone

Handspring should create a Visor Phone that takes advantage of bluetooh technology. It would have amodule that would basically be a blutooth module but would also contain flashable ram to hold the software. It then would have a headset or a whole seperate handheld unit allowing you to use the phone combined with the Visor without having to carry a bulky Visor around. The new erricson phone that supports bluetooth should be made to connect to the Visor so you can use your visor to dial calls but then be able to also use the phone seperate. By seperating the actual phone and the Visor would allow you to talk on the phone and enter/minipulate data at the same time. Especially in the Neo casing which smudges you would not get as many hand/face prints on the case.

Just my un-sorted idea

And it will cost 1000$. Good and very smart idea. I better say it most stupid idea I ever heard. And, but the way, new erricson sux.

SS.

Good idea. Actually this is exactly the kind of functionality that blue tooth technology brings. For example, connect to the internet with your visor handheld via your ericson phone that is in your brief case. Talk on the phone via a blue tooth headset etc. I think we will see the bluetooth module and more devices in 2002. Who knows how Handspring will play, but for sure a bluetooth springboard module will be available.

Yep. BT springboard is a good idea. But I'm sure it will cost a lot too. I better buy a cable to connect my visor and my phone. And this solution will save batteries on both devices.

I never said that it was practical at the time. Don't be so negative. Is the glass half full or half empty SSAS?

I'm not negative. I just found that your idea is not so smart as it can be. I better see a massager in Visor Phone than a thing to communicate to another phone. Do you really think someone will pay his money for it ???

I'm sorry, but I can't see the reason for this... You can, with the Visorphone, use the hands free to talk, and use the Visor in any other application, while in a call.

Also, the idea of having the Bluetooth module and using a separate handset (in your case the Ericsson) to talk is just not a Visorphone: it's a Bluetooth module, only that.
