Question about Bluetooth Technology

I am fascinated in wireless technology and looking forward to going cable free in my home. If i buy the new bluetooth module, what type of equipment would i have to have in my home to utilize the module? Do i go out and by a 802.11b wireless router to use the new bluetooth module, or is there another device i would have to get? Thanks in advance for your help.

Bluetooth Gateway

I am not 100% sure but I believe you need a separate Bluetooth gateway. Bluetooth is a short range (about 10 Meters). Also, 802.11b and Bluetooth are two different beasts I think.

Are you saying i can go out and buy a Bluetooth gateway? If so, where? I haven't seen anyone selling them, but then again i might not know what i'm looking for either!

You don't buy a bluetooth gateway but rather a bluetooth card for your computer. So unlike 802.11b there is no central hub.
