What if I just don't want it anymore?
The VisorPhone is cool but annoyingly bulky. I like the wireless data features, but VS $39.99 is a tad high for me because I don't need that many minutes. next plan is all they way down to $19.99 with very few minutes. What a gap!
Anyway, I miss being able to slide my Visor Deluxe into my suit jacket and carry my diminutive phone in a trouser pocket. In stead, I have to carry around my bulky VP and Visor.
Does anyone know how to get out of a Voicestream contract without paying the termination fee? I know it is probably impossible...
Just get another GSM phone (that you like) w/out a plan. Slide the SIM card out of the vphone, into the little phone, and continue on with your current plan. voila. Plus, you can swap the card bewteen phones as you find the need for one or the other. the perfect solution--you just have to spend some scratch to get it.

That's what I did. I took my wife's old GSM phone when she dumped Voicestream and went with Suncom.
Now I can either put the sim chip in the phone or in the visor module depending on what I'm doing. Oh, I'm using the $19.99 plan - until next July when my plan runs out. Then I'll be dumping voicestream and probably my visorphone as well. If only the Treo had a slot for more memory.
