Handspring modems- $39.99

Amazon.com is selling the Handspring Modem for $39.99! I could not tell if it was a sale price, clearance, or permanent new price.

most likely clearance. It appeasr that handspring will soon stop selling their modem, based on the fact that it's slow, and the market already has 3? modems out..

just grabbed one, sure, it's slow, fat, and ugly. but it's only $39.99! not too shabby, and who really needs 56k with a handheld? Not like I'll be downloading large files or MP3's

I got mine as well. To reduce the price further, 3-7 day shipping brings the price to just over $45, which means you can use Promotional Code DEALJUNESALE until tomorrow ($5 off a $45 purchase).

Question

Just Received my Modem from amazon.
But being a newbe, What is the best way to configue the modem? Should I follow the book. (Very Sparse) Is there any 3rd party program that will work better?
Help wanted
Thanks
Dabirk

Go to this page:
http://support.handspring.com/esupp...lutionGuide.jsp
Choose "Handspring Modem" in the selection box, and step through the questions. It will tell you how to set it up.
