Yet Another Minstrel Free Modem Thread....

Im sorry if this thread is redundant, but I have some questions that dont seem to be discussed elsewhere.

Can anyone post some pics of their Modem unit, in and out of their Visor? Im just curious for a profile pic and can't find one out on the net.

Also, after the obligatory free 6 or 12 months of service, what is the monthly cost of the service? what other fees are there for using other apps on the service? I heard in another thread that using a Palm ICQ or AIM app on the Minstrel Modem would ecrue a charge on your account, is this true?

Also, anyone using this Modem in PA? Just curious as to how many PA Visor Users are out there...

thanks much, and tell me to shove off if this is badly placed...

I found great pictures of Ministrel S on the Amazon.com website. I wouldn't buy it from them, because only YY is selling this package so cheap.

I live in Chicago, and am eagerly awaiting the arrival of my new toy for Christmas.

confused, eh?

jmascio,

I think you're a little confused, the deal with yadayada is you sign up for service at $40 a month for a year. in exchange for the one year comittment they'll give you the modem. so there is no "free service"

timmins...there were great pics there thanks!

mxgian...ya, I threw an unintended "free" in there somewhere. I understood about the 12 months paid and the free modem, thanks...

So are there any fees through YY for Roaming and such? or file transfer limits?

Justin
