Visorphone Battery - User swappable?
I spoke to a Handspring salesperson yesterday about purchasing a Visorphone. I had read about Visorphone owners buying an extra Li-ion battery pack so they could swap packs if they ran down one by talking too long between charges, so I inquired about buying a spare battery pack.
I was told that the current Visorphone design does not allow this. The battery pack is NOT swappable, and if the internal battery fails, they replace the whole Visorphone. (At whose cost, I was not told.)
She thought, maybe, this (swapping batteries) was possible with an older design, but not with the current design.
What's up with that? Is she confusing the Visorphone battery with the Prism/Pro battery, or is this true about all new VP's?
Have there really been two different designs?

My visorphone has a swappable battery. And you need to remove your battery to put the GSM SIM card in the phone.
I don't know if there is a new model/revision of the visorphone, in which the battery is fixed and the sim slot has been moved somewhere else. But looking at the handspring web site, it seems that nothing has changed...
