RAS connection with Windows 2000 Server

I have been unable to complete a RAS connection with my Windows 2000 Server. I have set it up properly & a regular dialin user connects, but my Prism/Xircom 56K combo will not autheticate. It just reports Authentication Error 1223. I have searched here and other places and tried the following solutions
1 - Allow Clear Text Passwords - This is possible if you do not use Windows 2K active directory, but I find there is no setting for this if you use Active Directory. Am I missing something? (I tried the registry setting too, no luck)
2 - set up username with "domain_name\username" - This did not help.
3 - Downloaded the "MSCHAP.PRC" file from Palms website - Did not help.
4 - Downloaded the "CHAP ENABLE/DISABLE" program - Did not help.
5 - Prayed to the "palm gods", sacrificed a Deluxe and three stylus, as the gods require - This did not help, and I got some strange looks from the neighbors.

Am I missing something obvious? I can only find resources on the Web for connecting to NT 3.51 & 4.0 - Can we not connect to 2K Server? Is this a Microsoft Plot? Do I need to sacrifice a Virgin "Neo"?

Luckily, I can just set this up on my NT 4.0 server, but I would rather have it connect to my 2K.

Thanks for any input/thoughts

Doug

P.S. I would LOVE to find a VPN connection that uses PPTP on the Palm OS, but I think Microsoft will restrict that.

Sorry to say I'm in the same boat - VisorDx,StarTac cellphone, Win2k RAS Server - authentication failure. We're trying to nail this down too. I'm hoping its just some configuration somewhere. I'll keep you posted if we figure it out.

What CHAP Enable/Disable program are you talking about? Where did you get it?
Thanks.

Chap enable/disable file

Where did I get the file? Hmmm... I can't remember. I think it was when I was trying to get my Kyocera 2035a phone to dial out from my Visor a few months ago. I may have gotten it from their websit.
I will post it on my website by the end of the day. The link for you will be obvious.
