wireless modules
I 'm looking for a wireless nic module that doens't cost a small fortune. Can anyone recommend one?
I would like to take advantage of our wireless network. Finally is there a port for terminal server > or even better user manager?
These may be a long shot, but it's worth a try
Thanks
The Xircom is the only one I'm aware of, and I think they know it, too, since the price has been very stable since it was released. I found it for $175 on Half.com, and have seen it on eBay.
If you do get it, check the software level - if it is 1.10 there is an update on the Intel site.
There are no outboard ports on the device.

Do NOT buy this module. Numerous people have had problems getting this module to work. Having a Cisco WAP helps sometimes, Linksys WAP's sometimes work. Mine has never ever worked even close to what it should. I have many many different pcmcia cards of different makes and they almost always work right. This one forget it. Intel support is not existant.
