Question

In looking at the various wireless providers in my area I have been rather pleased with what SunCom has to offer. My concern is whether or not I will be able to use their service with my Platinum. The lady at the sells counter had no idea what I was talking about. Does anyone have any experience with SunCom? Good or bad?

Question

What kind fo wireless service were you looking at?Are you planning to hook up your cell to your Visor?

Its an AT&T partner so no, it won't work since it uses TDMA. You need service thats either CDMA or GSM.

How sad but very true, to me, this comes as no surprise.. Unfortunately this scene is all too common with most electronics and technology, In all my travels I have yet to find a "sales person" who knew anything when it comes to anything technological let alone wireless connectivity and PDA's. For the most part these people mean well, but mostly it's just a job & a pay check to them.

Yeah, my eyes zoomed right in on this sentence, too.
It's enough to make you ill....

At least she admitted it. The first time I went cell phone shopping the bafoon told me it would work fine and I got the phone, about a month late I got the cable and guess what..."Oh, we need something on our network for that? I thought it was like a normal phone!"

Suncom

I personally don't like Suncom.
My contract is up in Sept. and I'm going to be glad.
One of my main problems with them is their service plans. You can only change once every six months.
Which I really didn't like. I changed once after two months having the service. But I want to change now.
I paying way too much and I plus I'm not using the minutes. It makes me mad.
Also they don't even support SMS. That should tell you alot.
I have tried Bellsouth (which is Cingular now) and Suncom. I wouldn't recommend either. The next one I try is Powertel. I hope that's better.
I guess really every cell phone service providers has it's good and bad.
