Question

Today while I was at Eidos, I tried connecting with my visor prism and omnisky to send an e-mail. But I couldn't connect despite having a full bar and all the boxes checked. I thought it might be the network. So I called my g/f and Omnisky's site says everythign is operational. So after I leave Eidos, I tried other things such as AIM, Yahoo and nothing was connecting. However when I tried a PQA, it seemed to work just fine. Even in the Omnisky application it worked fine. The catch is, just that morning when I got to Eidos I hopped on for a split second and everything was perfect. I even tried wiping out my system and reinstalling with the backup memory and that didn't work. Oh ya, Eidos is in San Francisco and I'm live in the south bay area. Anyone else in the area having problems or has anything had a problem like this before? Any help would be appreciated. I figure I would try here before I bothered with tech suppport. Thanks in advance.

I have precisely the same problem. I can connect through the Omnisky application and OS Mail just fine, but nothing else works. Blazer, Avantgo, BackupBuddy, and Yahoo messenger all return error messages to the effect that they cannot connect. I too tried a hard reset, reinstalling just Omnisky and Blazer; Blazer still would not work. It looks like the modem can connect to the Omnisky server, but not to any others, and it doesn't appear to be a software problem. I first noticed this problem last night. I'm glad I'm not the only one . Please let me know if you find anything out.

My web access came back. I did send an e-mail to Omnisky. We'll see if they come back with a useful response.
